C&C Group is now a UK electricity market participant as the ecoes service provider.
ecoes is an evolution of C&C Group’s MPAS-online service and is mandated for use under the MRA for electricity suppliers, distributors and meter operators.
ecoes has full GB coverage of MPAS data and meter technical details updated on a daily basis via the DTN. The service currently has over 20,000 users handling well in excess of 1,000,000 enquiries per month.
ecoes includes the facility for non domestic customers (multi sites) to manage their entire portfolios online further increasing market competitiveness and the customer experience.

C&C Group had full technical responsibility for gaining accreditation for Laing O'Rourke Energy. C&C Group were involved from the outset by being in the unrivalled position of having expert industry knowledge, an army of Windows, SQL Server, Oracle and Unix technicians, in addition to a wide portfolio of low entry cost systems.
C&C Group recognise that the barriers to market entry are high and it is primarily a technical challenge. By engaging with C&C Group, Laing O'Rourke Energy was able to concentrate on the business of running their business and their IT headache was cured.
Following the acquisition by ESP, C&C Group now host their entire IT infrastructure at our new ISO9001:2000 certified data centre. This service includes full operational and disaster recovery responsibility, MPRS, billing, LDSO (also referred to as an IDNO) functions, flow routing and connection to the Electralink DTS.
C&C Group is able to offer MPRS, Pebble (our Electricity Billing Engine) and Synapse (our work planning, network and asset management system) as well as hosting, to new market entrants.
This makes C&C Group a one stop shop for all IDNOs, vastly reducing their entry costs into the market.

C&C Group are responsible for supporting and administering the databases and servers hosting Yorkshire Electricity's mission-critical IVR / call centre system.
C&C Group carried out an audit of the existing server configurations and database implementations, bringing those implementations in line with industry best practice and put in place backup routines, recovery mechanisms and database monitoring and diagnostics routines. C&C Group now support and administer the sophisticated mirrored topology remotely as part of a wide-ranging service level agreement that includes monthly PAF updates. C&C Group have also developed and implemented the software 'glue' that binds the multi vendor, multi platform heterogeneous application suite together and support this bespoke development as an integral part of the facilities management SLA.
