ECOES - Fully Managed Service
ECOES (Electricity Central Online Enquiry Service) is a system that provides a centralised view of all 32 million MPANs, updated daily by all 19 electricity Distributor Network Operators and every Meter Operator throughout GB. ECOES is as up to date as all of the source systems.
The data provided includes:
- Full current Supplier Registration details
- Supplier liability history going back to 1998, which also includes failed and pending Registrations
- Meter Operator appointment history
- Current and historic Meter history, including installation date and Meter type
- Metering Point address and other DNO data
The ECOES service is mandated under the MRA (Master Registration Agreement). ECOES predecessor, MPAS-online, was developed by C&C Group in 2002 and due to its enormous success adopted by the entire GB energy industry in 2006 and rebranded as ECOES.
C&C Group has full technical responsibility for ECOES, providing a fully managed operational service, hosted from within our ISO27001 industry strength data centres.
The ECOES database and architecture is future proof, has been designed to be fully scalable and flexible, and can accommodate exponential growth in terms of data items, volume of data and capacity.
In addition to the web application interface we also offer batch and web-service interface. Our XML web service access to ECOES, called SOAPSUDS, is enjoyed by an increasing number of industry participants.
