Eurotunnel
Bespoke system development - account customer
invoicing system
Eurotunnel operate the Channel Tunnel, running passenger and freight
shuttles between the UK and the Continent. Complementary activities
include retailing, property development and the sale of fibre optic
cables throughout the tunnel. C&C Group has a long relationship
with Eurotunnel and played a major role in the their system development
and procurement, prior to the tunnel's opening.
We developed this large scale, mission critical system to process
all freight customers account invoicing, which represents a large
proportion of Eurotunnel's turnover. The system operates in five
European languages and seven currencies including the Euro. The
system was installed under a fixed price contract and completed
on time, to the complete satisfaction of our client.

C&C Group were commissioned to audit the systems and business processes supporting
Eurotunnel's B2C direct marketing function. The innovative and wide ranging
recommendations from this investigation have triggered a number of initiatives and
projects within which C&C continue to play a significant role.
Eurostar
E-business - database system
Eurostar launched their first train service, linking the UK and
the Continent, in 1994 and since then have expanded into the package
holiday market and parcel distribution services.
C&C Group have a long-term relationship with Eurostar and we played
an instrumental role in the introduction of Oracle web delivery
technology to the company. We currently perform an independent quality
assurance role for Eurostar's, one to one centralised customer database
and data warehouse project.

Eurostar have licensed C&C Group's SEAMLESS customer data quality software to cleans,
enhance and integrate customer data into a 'single view of the customer' repository
supporting their loyalty schema and CRM initiative. SEAMLESS has been customised and
embedded into the data streams feeding the customer data warehouse cleansing this
crucial data 'in-line'.
